Hmm, that's strange. Maybe there's some additional information that I need to pass to Mastodon to make it show up as a notification on Tusky? At least on your home server my reply and like seems to be present (https://mastodon.social/@hannesm/110263487214918015), but thanks for letting me know, I'll look into that.
Thanks! Yes, that's something I need to fix at some point. Despite writing parsers being one of the strengths of OCaml, I didn't actually get round to writing any code to parse and render links before sending them as posts.

Hey Mario! Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I had just recently finished the Activitypub server that I've been working on for a few years now, and while the process wasn't as easy as expected, I'm at least glad that my experiences and observations may help to make future implementors' lives easier!
As far as it goes, having to wave my hands for disordinate periods of time to use soap dispensers because of my skin colour isn't the worst thing in the world.
What I'm really not looking forward to is as more of these AI systems are being deployed, having vital utilities (border crossings, insurance, health care etc.) provide less and less useful service because I end up as an outlier in their dataset.
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux tech tips, is in fact, GNU/Linux Tech tips, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux tech tips. Linux tech tips is not a YouTube channel unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU youtube channel made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full YouTube channel as defined by POSIX.
Wrote an Emacs mode for Rhombus!
We are but automaton cursed to always mechanically move forward.
As a purely music listener, audio on Linux (debian and dervivatives) just works out of the box for me; the problem is that whenever I try to experiment and set up audio creation tools, I inevitably end up screwing up the configuration somehow and getting conflicts between pulseaudio and jack.
