<p>I'm rich enough, white enough, and straight enough to check out of this whole struggle. I could carry on living my life pretty well under any administration, no matter how sinister. On a devastating night like tonight, I am ashamed to say that I'm tempted to give up. But standing up for what's right is both a privilege and an obligation. If you have a heart, you have to look out for others. That's not America, that's humanity.</p>
