Others might well respond that it "is user-friendly; it's just picky about who its friends are," as one classic quote put it.'</p><p>And I'm also really amused by the fact that the completely unimportant unknown scripting language that I picked up twenty+ years ago happened to become super important and widely used.</p>

Alas, these are underreported.</p><p>– It feels like there is more chaos but the old stuff breaking also means there is now room for new stuff.</p><p>– Many things that were secret for a long time are now coming out. In the “good old days”, there was a lot of cruelty we simply weren’t aware of.</p>
