I'm a 1st generation migrant from the East Coast and a 3rd generation immigrant from the "old country". I once met a distant cousin of mine from Latvia; but, that was 30 years ago.

Aside from my daughter, the rest of my family remains on the East Coast & we all kinda drifted apart once the grandmother's passed in the mid '90s.

@kevinbowen I'm quietly envious as a first-generation migrant. We don't get any family visits…

Looks like we're having a mini-family reunion in June.

Last night, out of the blue, my mom's youngest brother reached out to me. He, his wife & son are coming out west for some sort of memorial(on his wife's side) & will be staying in the neighborhood for a week.

We're not terribly close; but my daughter & his son were best pals whenever they saw each other as kids.

I'm touched that he reached out to me & nervously excited to hang out without my folks being intermediaries.

C++ programmers love thinking that things are Always Bad and Should Never Be Used.

time spent reversing std::istream: 45 minutes
time spent cracking encryption: 30 seconds
time spent filing a Binary Ninja issue for incorrect field resolution: 5 minutes

someone who is good at reverse engineering please help me balance this. my demangler is working overtime

pressing 'run' in pulseview causes our computer's entire usb stack to restart. flipping the orientation of the usb-c cable plugged into the logic analyser fixes this.

probably fine.
