<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://functional.cafe/@loke" class="u-url mention">@<span>loke</span></a></span> I bought a web domain and hosting about 23 years ago and it came with e-mail so I&#39;ve been using that ever since.</p><p>I know you have Nextcloud (I have stuff hosted at home too) but sometimes having a second server is useful. Back up onto both and it becomes super robust.</p>
<p>(writing this made me realize that if i bought her an ultrabook instead of the ancient brick shaped thinkpad she got because it was $180 we would have less weight to carry around)</p>

<p>(this is why i will always have my own laptop. carrying two laptops in our backpack is hard, but it feels light as a feather compared to the burden of using nixos)</p>
