Last time I checked SDKs like that don't need a rootkit.</p>
<p>In the Philippines, football is not very popular. <br />Due to the scarcity of football fields and high rental costs, football is perceived as a "sport for the rich" in Metro Manila. But the oldest football team is in Iloilo and it's where Paulino Alcantara was born.</p><p>I know basketball is more popular in the country. <br />But Brazilian kids play football anywhere while wearing slippers, so Filipinos have no excuse--we are maybe just not as creative as Brazilians in playing football?</p>
<p>Speaking as someone living in Hungary, to friends in the <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/USA" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>USA</span></a>:</p><p>The greatest weapon the system has is outrage fatigue. Doing so many unimaginable things at the same time that people just sigh and go on. Having so many things to protest that you run out of days and hours. Piling on so you start focusing on surviving with your bare mental health day to day.</p><p>Pick your cause and stick to it. Support others who focus on different causes. Don't try to do everything at once.</p>
<p>There's the added issue that that kind of labeling error is probably already in the data set (eg, lemon vs organic lemon). So the ground truth is already a bit broken. One assumes they already factor that into the prices, though, so that may not be an added burden.</p>
<p>They *could* say "please confirm it's this product in that container", but people will only correct it if Amazon has overpriced it. So the real quality metric is not quite F1/precision/recall: it's minimizing "labeling something as cheaper than it is" (not all errors are =). ↵</p>
<p>Every time I self-scan groceries at Whole Foods, I'm convinced that I'm part of a supervised learning project at Amazon and one day, when their F1 score is high enough, they'll let me just place my groceries on the scale and say "all good". This is also a UX issue: ↵</p>
