I've got to be doing something wrong, that can't be it? I haven't even spent hours crying/struggling to work out the solution yet", Well, I'm thankful for the quick solution, I guess it was a nice confidence boost!!!</p>

<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@HalvarFlake" class="u-url mention">@<span>HalvarFlake</span></a></span> well, that's also one way to solve it</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/@ilmari" class="u-url mention">@<span>ilmari</span></a></span> And I don't like cinnamon in sweet food so I usually replace it with nutmeg</p>
<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> <br />"We sincerely thank you for your continued support" -- they've got some DAMN nerve.</p>
<p>Finished with day 2. My initial solution was a bit over-engineered and had to be cut down a lot. I expected part 2 to be much more complex and was ready to compute all kinds of stats, but that wasn't necessary. Turns out that <code>Max()</code> was enough for everything, and most of my effort went into parsing instead.</p><p><a href="https://github.com/warriordog/advent-of-code-2023/tree/main/Solutions/Day02" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/warriordog/advent-o</span><span class="invisible">f-code-2023/tree/main/Solutions/Day02</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.koehlercode.dev/tags/AdventOfCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AdventOfCode</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.koehlercode.dev/tags/AdventOfCode2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AdventOfCode2023</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.koehlercode.dev/tags/AOC2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AOC2023</span></a></p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/@ilmari" class="u-url mention">@<span>ilmari</span></a></span> I used Zwieback (rusk? I think in english) even today because I didn't have old white bread, you can also do it with toast.</p>
<p>Real talk:</p><p>It is utterly exhausting to look at my notifications every morning (which is a difficult slog as it is with this many followers) and see response after response saying "just mute/block those folks" again and again.</p><p>I'm gonna make this as clear as I can:</p><p>On Twitter,</p><p>this. was. not. a. thing. I. had. to. do.</p><p>I can probably count on one hand the number of times I had to block people because, get this, Twitter had a quality filter which caught most insufferable people</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/@ilmari" class="u-url mention">@<span>ilmari</span></a></span> any (old) bread you like, toasted for the flavour. stack in a buttered form with eg apples and (rum drenched) raisins - frozen tart cherries are also great - then cover top with almonds. custard mix half milk half cream - make 1l, the bread will soak. sugar, pinch of salt and vanilla. then combine eg with rum, lots of cinnamon and/or nutmeg, saffron I like, some maple sirup is great, cointreau is yummy as well. 3 egg yolk per l. mix well, pour over bread, soak 15 min, oven 20-35m, 200°</p>
