This thing could have just been the chamber and columns with a few short racks of equipment around it.

Instead you have to crawl inside of the microscope between a rack with a bunch of exposed terminals and the turbo pump with a several pound rotor spinning at 48,000 rpm (it crashes if you bump it to hard). The bundle of cables Iā€™m about to route behind me has multiple 7kV ion pump cables and 10kV detector cables. Wcgw.

But at least they tried, right?

@gamingonlinux I've tried getting into this a few times but found it a bit too abstracted to get fully immersed (that's a me thing, not the game's fault). Might need to give it another go now that there's a proper tutorial.

@gamingonlinux more devs need to learn the lesson MMORPG devs learned decades ago, which is "never trust the client", even with kernel level anti-cheat people will find ways to cheat (be that with expensive pcie debugging cards that can dma system memory, or with obs stream to an external system that manipulates usb device stream to create an aimbot). And for various reasons kernel level anti-cheat will be nearly impossible on linux. In shorts dev should have moved away from 90s net code, yes that will be hard for twitchy shooters, but will fully eliminate the rat race that is anti-cheat
