Basically people already use combinatorial optimization for logistics, so once you add disasters, you need to make the optimizer robust.

I like that work because it's unambiguously about the real problem (from what I can tell). Some "robust" software engineering can be about spherical cows.

Her lawyers landed some good shots on their way down. I guess, in the end, they got Theranized?

You know how f*cked America is when academic authors are now refusing to publish their books in the US. I now receive messages to help them publish books in the Philippines, because it is also an English speaking country. Yes, the 🇵🇠is happy to publish your books in English.

each day I am getting more and more burnt out from Python packaging, if anyone knows of any technologically challenging python or embedded position (or contracting work), let me know. can only do remote, but working hours are very flexible.

Q for computer science researchers: which subfield of CS studies disaster preparedness and disaster recovery? Software engineering? Systems? Security?

does anyone have a resource on how one would go about creating an IBIS model for a device that does not have published SPICE or IBIS models?

I'm looking for info on how I would go about performing the characterisation measurements, and how I would then transform that data into an IBIS model.

it doesn't need to be super accurate and I'm not measuring particularly challenging ICs. I mostly just care about having a ballpark-correct IBIS model for SI simulations in Altium.

#electronics
