Cambridge Analytica and Facebook started it and interfered in 2016 elections, Cambridge Analytica whistleblower made it visible also in the same year.</p><p>I said 2016 elections was an "inference" as in "theory" of the beginning of social media's disinformation in global elections.</p>

Just it was clearly visible after Cambrige Analytica. That's it.<br />Cambrige Analytica not started interferention, make it more effective - yes, but no started.</p>
