<p>13/ So the Eremitani is well worth visiting. You can see a (initially) young Mantegna already both asserting himself and finding his calling, growing with confidence over the years before leading up to his masterpieces that sort of round out the era of Renaissance innovation.</p>
<p>10/ Put these together and you start to get a bit of a one-trick-ness to Mantegna. He&#39;s technically outstanding, his scenes are lively and poised, but he also comes across as the final master of the Renaissance flourish of perspective, building everything else around it. ↵</p>
