it would be nice to have a recent update on how twitter architects stuff since their old info circa 2014 can't still be accurate. I don't want to think that for every single user it is rendering a personal timeline in memory

Take Holocaust coming from Germany or atrocities done by American soldiers in Vietnam for example. Conversely, the vast majority of Muslims are not fundamentalist, and a lot of Russians never bought the idea of Ukrainians being their enemies. But psychopaths pop up in every human society regularly, and it gets ugly whenever they manage to come to power one way or another.</p>

@feld@bikeshed.party @TechConnectify@mas.to @Moon@shitposter.club we can have personal filters, personal „algorithmic“ timelines. The technology (heh) is there, but we need to use it and build the free systems that can actually compete with the closed ones.
