@cell@pl.ebin.zone это..

@YourPalMichael absolutely! My response is more to the outrage happening, all of it as far as I can tell, from people who weren’t even on the instance. As you say, it’s an experiment and it failed. That’s fine!

@cell@pl.ebin.zone yeah it's lingua franca not lingua anglica smh my head

@Ryan exactly. And like, regardless of what people think of the corporate structure of Mozilla (which is complicated and a weird for profit under a non profit thing), I don’t think many people could argue that this is a good use a funds for a non-profit. To pay for server, maintainance and moderation costs for an instance of 270 people. Like, I’m sorry. No.

I don't care who the target was intended to be. Putting explosives in consumer devices, that are used in civilian spaces, that are then detonated without discrimination for active militants has little ethical difference from planting land mines.

It sets an awful precedent. There is a reason why these types of weapons are often banned. In fact, I would argue these exploding pagers would violate the UN Geneva Convention Protocol II.

Probably not until like next spring or summer. I’m very likely having surgery in November and my recovery is 3-6 months, so it feels silly to pay a bunch of money for a color and then be in bed while my roots grow out again. I think I’m going blonde next time though! Going big

@tehstu I mean, for a company the size of Mozilla, the cost of upkeep for a service with 270 users is just not a good investment. Def in the literal sense. Too few people to be worth whatever the costs and ongoing support stuff is.
