<p>Deleted my last post, but I will say this, foss purists and zealots are some of the most annoying people around, and it&#39;s a real problem on Mastodon.</p><p>Replies here are no longer monitored regularly (if at all). <p>I spent Mon and Wed teaching my accelerated intro class about PoW and blockchains. (Yes, don&#39;t worry, I wasn&#39;t mindlessly pro. I still think they are technologically very interesting.) What&#39;s the state of Proof of Useful Work systems? I&#39;ve seen a few proposals; haven&#39;t studied them closely.</p>
