I will be bringing a couple dozen of these with me to Hackaday Supercon. The “Sensor Watch” SAO is not Sensor Watch — hence the quotes — but it is an I²C segment LCD driver that’s easy to control with MicroPython. To get folks started, I have once again put copious documentation on the back side :)

really excited about this survey! @mayfirst wants to hear from any of us activist types who are on gmail/related google services.

please take the super quick survey (i felt very seen in my experience!) and help spread the word:

https://share.mayfirst.org/apps/forms/s/GAjrPNyf4QecXjrErZRi6RWY

@film_girl I'd also consider "not having at least one normal, expandable storage connector inside the thing" something that should get you kicked out of the EU market. By all means, charge me $2000 for 8TB that's directly connected to the SoC, but I don't need that, whereas I *do* need 8TB that's "only" capable of being processed at NVMe speeds.

Heck, m.2 drives all have the same circuit board dimensions, I'll take an m.2 slot similar to the SD-card slot.

Every time I use Windows I am reminded just how good Linux is now.

Trying to do some CoD with the kiddo, 3 games in and it hard locked the entire system. Forced to hit the reset button.

Then Windows failed to load 3 times, then gave me a blue screen telling me Windows failed to start. Tried restarting again, Windows still fails to load and reboots itself.

Windows 11 is a clown-show.

@film_girl you don’t need a pink iMac.

@film_girl I was willing to pay these prices, any prices. And then sequoia came along and broke my trust that I won’t lose access to my tools and workflows because of new security prompts. Now I’m amazed at the fast, affordable, upgradable hardware that exists In the rest of the computer industry.

@joey Purely from a teaching point of view, let is sometimes used as an example of syntactic sugar. That would certainly be more difficult to explain if it had the semantics of let*.
