<p>It is what it is. There&#39;s plenty of individual reasons to use Bluesky, but collectively, I can&#39;t see that as a success. Having everything go through a single point of failure that sees value in a &quot;less Nazis / more Nazis&quot; radio button seems suboptimal to me.</p><p>Maybe I&#39;m wrong, though, and this time it&#39;ll really be different.</p>

<p>I&#39;m really sad that, seemingly overnight, the default alternatives to Twitter that you find listed various places are Threads and Bluesky.</p><p>At some level, I feel like we as a society have entirely failed to learn a single lesson from what happened to Twitter.</p><p>More than anything, though, I&#39;m sad because that means losing touch. Everything else aside, I am not at a point in my life where I can go through another hype/bust cycle for another VC-funded social media platform.</p>
