So @aburka just pointed to where the devs have said this is a likely feature upgrade before Christmas, and I am extremely grateful; I hope it makes it in above the line for the next version.

Everyone knows that Pr*testants are the ones ruining America, from the very moment the filth was forced to flee Europe. Imagine being so fucked up that even the English don't want you. These are the degens who colonized the USA

Cannot believe I actually watched 59 episodes of #LoveAndRedemption! I was so sure I'd bail halfway. Final verdict: 8.5/10 - I like it a lot, despite its many flaws.
I kept a "watch log", recording my thoughts as I watched it (blog post below). This was a #DigitalGarden entry in action, btw. Loving this method of #blogging! It is so fun I'll be doing this for Story of Kunning Palace or Wonderland of Love.

#Cdrama #Cdramas #Xianxia #China #TV

https://dramatea88.wordpress.com/2023/11/14/live-blogging-through-love-and-redemption/

@Popehat

I suspect the dude was wired on crack or meth.

I have seen this before. One day, on highway (55 mph zone), this guy blew by me at minimum 80mph in heavy traffic. 'Oh shit' I thought, this idiot is going to cause an accident. Sure enough, a mile later.

This idiot had skidded across most of the lanes, hit a barrier wall on the right, and then skidded back across (3 lanes), and hit the center median. I could see the skid marks.

Plenty of cars involved, but looked like no serious injuries, the other cars made it to the shoulders.

As I crept past (within feet), the dude was out of his car screaming that he could not believe what happened.

I can. He was wired. You do not go 80 mph in a 55 mph zone during rush hour. Not a good idea even if you are sober.

@maxine@den.raccoon.quest @mja@comp.lain.la I understand why fixating on "jewish elites" is a red flag to people and I entirely agree that most of the elites in western societies are not jewish, and outside the context of discussing Zionism there's no real point in mentioning judaism at all. my post was specifically coming out of a context of being frustrated with a group of people on XF, who I've argued with about this on the past, who *do* get very mad if you try to connect Zionism with Jewish Amercians in any way (with [nyx going so far as to claim that anyone who supported Zionism wasn't "really" Jewish](https://comp.lain.la/notice/AboSNhQtzcUDTMSKAa)). as far as apologizing to them directly, that they've been much more mean to me than I have to them, and also most of them have more or less said they don't want to interact with me ever again. I responded to you just because you're the only one who pointed to my post directly as an example of antisemitism and because you seemed to me like you'd be reachable in a way they aren't

Man what the hell I bet they’re gonna send an email saying this was “off campus” even though this is our literal school football field

Right now, I'm constantly doing this dance of:
- post a banger
- enjoy immediate dopamine hit
- too much! hide likes and boosts from my notifs
- mute the original thread, losing any additional interaction
- turn likes and boosts back on
- post another banger

What I would like to do is:
- post bangers
- have good conversations
- continue to enjoy dopamine

@Popehat

Thanks, Ken, for defending against Stanford student King Vivek Vanga's gross lawsuit. His sense of entitlement would make the most mild mannered person seethe, as would his lawyer's BNCL's version of the facts, which relies heavily on abuse of the passive voice.

As Mike Masnick observes, whether Vanga was drunk is almost beside the point, other than as an element of one or more charges. Absent intoxication, his rear-ending a vehicle and causing death is more reckless and egregious.

I did some googling and found a number of feature requests, with this (six-year-old!) one being the original:

https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/1483

It doesn't appear there's been any real movement on this, even if it's a purely client-side change, and I'm mostly just curious why.

Do the people who build Mastodon never go viral?
