Small niche instances are usually peaceful and easy to moderate, thus belong to the cozy web. Conversely, mainstream instances start to look like the dark forest.</p>

<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://hachyderm.io/@liztai" class="u-url mention">@<span>liztai</span></a></span> I think the way you do it now is more motivating. I find writing can be much better when you know that other&#39;s will read what you are putting out there.</p>

<p>I save most of my social media thoughts on <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Obsidian</span></a> these days. I hope to do it the other way round so that it slows me down and prevents me from posting anything controversial on <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/SocialMedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SocialMedia</span></a>. Also, it has made my daily notes so rich! If I ever do read them back, it&#39;ll be quite fascinating to see what thoughts raced through my mind on a particular day.</p>
