Why did FreeBSD have to expel Iranian committer Babak Farrokhi? Oh right, the export sanctions that "hasn't mattered since 1995". I don't recall when exactly he lost his access as my mail archives don't go back far enough, but we weren't able to welcome him back until 2015. I know for sure because I was the first person to welcome him back on the internal developer mailing list.
