<p>You know what? I'm not fucking okay with teaching children that their bodies are taboo and that they shouldn't have any knowledge about or understanding of them.</p>

The price is steep, the road is long, and the end result is far from certain, on that I agree.</p>

<p>Why I, an immigrant, sufficiently satisfied with my life abroad that I have chosen* to naturalise often say "never emigrate":</p><p>I don't mean that living in another country is not a worthwhile goal. I mean that the system and side-effects of immigration – no matter where you choose to go – is complicated and scary and dehumanising in ways that you can't explain to someone who hasn't been through the process.</p>
