@gamingonlinux First time?
Before it was Riot-games.
Before it was Bungie.
Before it was Blizzard.
EU, Ubisoft and every other large game company - all of the "broke" linux support at some point for many of their online games for last 10 years.

@gamingonlinux time and time again, I have to repeat this to free operating system users: games that don't support any system outside of Windows and Mac don't care about you, you're not even second class citizen. Proton/Wine is a bypass you use and others made. They don't give a dime to the developers of Proton/Wine or any kind of software that you're using to run their games. They don't give a shit.

@isagalaev I think half of it is most people just don't think about it at all and just give the product a "huh, ok, whatever?" and half it's people looking at these things as techbros-being-techbros and tech-ing up things because that's what techbros do. (Like, y'know, carpenter ants or termites, except more destructive and less useful)

@wordshaper and that goes for any appliance, frankly.

I thought it's common knowledge that the only reason manufacturers are pushing for app controlled appliances is data harvesting. None of these features solve any real problem.

The Linux community seemingly will never get over:

- Bad thing happens
- "I bet M$SFT PAID THEM TO DO THIS AGAINST LINUX"

It's so silly.
