@allison@hidamari.apartments @Arcana@akko.disqordia.space @nozaki@mugicha.club @genmaicha@stereophonic.space It's a stereotype but I totally get why it happens.
@Moon@shitposter.club @nozaki@mugicha.club @genmaicha@stereophonic.space Definitely, which is why I think the question specifically in reference to mainland China is somewhat ill formed. But Taiwan? Diaspora communities? South Korea and Japan? You will absolutely find countercultural Christians of the type being described here.
@Arcana@akko.disqordia.space @nozaki@mugicha.club @Moon@shitposter.club @genmaicha@stereophonic.space "years ago I discovered psychadelics (....) buddhism" that was your first mistake
@nozaki@mugicha.club @allison@hidamari.apartments @genmaicha@stereophonic.space I suspect it's not the case in mainland China because the government is still highly hostile to Christianity, there's a ton of Christians converting regularly over there faster than the government approves congregations and so they periodically are just bulldozing unsanctioned protestant churches. I read about it a couple years ago. Adopting a foreign religion to look worldly is the kind of thing you do when you figure there will be positive not negative consequences.

I also would wager that the sale of twitter was partly done to conceal and destroy evidence of election interference known to twitter at the time. Bluesky, no thanks.

Personally it felt like everyone was too self-absorbed to discuss anything, but I also started off on the wrong foot by it seemingly requiring login to even view someone’s profile. Not a great req for the sort of externally citable use cases we saw on Twitter.

@thendrix@social.hendrixgames.com @lain@lain.com I don't think I played the new one

What did you think about 2? They tried to add so many 'comfort' options it seems to have turned a lot of fans of the previous game off. It's a very strange series in that regard and worth looking at if you want to try 'true' first person cameras. Not much has changed since in terms of trade offs.
