So yes, I think you're right. </p><p>Just adding type hints to dynamically typed code won't get you get far. This extends to the ecosystem - no amount of hints will make jinja2 type-safe. Nor Django.</p><p>That said, I would like to push back on the idea that well typed code looks like Java sausages. That's mediocre typed code.</p>

I could get another 1TB SSD in my PC for $60 and 30 minutes including drive time tonight and that's not looking around for a deal. 🤷</p>
