Just about every ECOOP I've been at was amazing. In 2010 I saw @shriramk in action for the first time, saw his lambda JS, and could present my inline caching work. In 2018, we had the prediction of future changes based on your feedback, and this year the CMQ and HOBBIT papers. In Berlin we didn't have a paper, but going there was awesome. Every time great papers and great people. 110pct would recommend!

@whitequark I think so, but if not then it was someone else FPGA-adjacent on here. In any case, using Yosys to build a Factorio circuit network is certainly an achievement

@gamingonlinux if only we could send anyone replying to /dev/null

And for the people who keep asking privately: no I'm not leaving Mastodon, you can relax, just not personally checking the replies any more (if I can help it) and mostly have the tab closed now.

Replies are too noisy and toxic with my follower count here with all the reply-bros being annoying.

Much love.

Nice, the cron worked, it will send this out once a month so I don't have to 👌

What I'm listening to today: "random noise 131 --noisevember 29-- Kastle ARP, NTS-3", glenn clyatt

Slow fade in what sounds like a guitar solo, an interstitial on an MBV record or something, but coming out of two little bits of handheld electronic gear. Gradually dissolves into noise, then the glinty shine of moonlight beneath the ocean, drowned out by the booming sounds of mermaid construction equipment. You know there's a second moon at the bottom of the ocean, right?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIIALVZux3w
