<p>What I&#39;m listening to today: &quot;HLT - A Lost Transmission (AE MODULAR DEMO)&quot;, Huxleys Last Trip</p><p>AE Modular is a semi-obscure alternative to the popular &quot;eurorack&quot; format; it&#39;s designed to be cheaper and smaller, and uses plain jumper wires instead of TS cables.</p><p>I really like rhythmic hissy noises. I&#39;m not sure that&#39;s a common viewpoint, so I don&#39;t know how to describe that this is an *exceptionally* beautiful example of rhythmic hissy noises. Emotionally intense ambient.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSL9NXx4ZXM" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=TSL9NXx4ZX</span><span class="invisible">M</span></a></p>

<p>Seattle voters have explicitly and loudly demanded social housing, but this reactionary city council is attempting to delay and destroy it. Right now they are trying to delay I-137 (despite it having the numbers) to a low-turnout special election next year instead of the November ballot, and trying to muddy the waters around it to distract voters.</p><p>Tell them to act without delay! Only takes 30 seconds.</p><p>Boosts appreciated!</p><p><a href="https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-seattle-city-council-to-pass-i-137-or-at-least-put-it-on-the-november-ballot" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">actionnetwork.org/letters/tell</span><span class="invisible">-seattle-city-council-to-pass-i-137-or-at-least-put-it-on-the-november-ballot</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.seattle.wa.us/tags/Seattle" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Seattle</span></a> <a href="https://social.seattle.wa.us/tags/SocialHousing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SocialHousing</span></a> <a href="https://social.seattle.wa.us/tags/I137" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>I137</span></a> <a href="https://social.seattle.wa.us/tags/ShareTheCities" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ShareTheCities</span></a></p>

<p>My drunk roommate did not held her liquors and is now speaking horny at a mattress and turning lights on and off.<br />That&#39;d be much less funny if she wasn&#39;t a cat.</p>
<p>Starting September 1, Austin Clements will be taking over as the tech lead of Go: both the Go team at Google and the overall Go project. Austin is currently the tech lead for what we sometimes call the “Go core”, which encompasses compiler toolchain, runtime, and releases. Cherry Mui will be stepping up to lead those areas.</p><p>I am not leaving the Go project, but I think the time is right for a change.</p><p>Details here: <a href="https://groups.google.com/g/golang-dev/c/0OqBkS2RzWw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">groups.google.com/g/golang-dev</span><span class="invisible">/c/0OqBkS2RzWw</span></a></p>
