We use EdStem at Brown and it's got its weaknesses but it's way better than Canvas or Piazza, so I'm happy with it. Main thing about not doing it by email is I can use different channels for different purposes.</p>

I've had them email me assignments last summer and that went great. Also they never once really used the Piazza site I had set up and kept updating. So I learned that if I should ever teach again (doubtful), it's a mailing list and email and that's it. The people who don't want that can drop. ๐คท I know, I know, I am an evil anarchist. ๐ (To be clear, this was about Blackboard.)</p>
