I am not at all convinced that it has done those institutions a lot of good either. It may be that accreditation in some other disciplines is better, and CS accreditation rides those coattails.</p>

And ignored all the red flags that come with it. If they didn't realize by now how broken it is…well, nothing is going to matter for them.</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@regehr" class="u-url mention">@<span>regehr</span></a></span> I have not been keeping up with the details, but I believe places are now effectively required to remove DEIA, and if ABET *requires* them to have DEIA, then they have to either obey the Pres or lose ABET, and the latter can be disastrous to some.</p>
