It speaks to me as both a former middle school teacher, and as someone who bounced hard off of the C++ in my intro CS course because WTF are all these pointers and other broken abstraction boundaries between the part of the system I care about (the logic) and the part I don&#39;t (the hardware).</p><p>(i&#39;m now a software engineer but it took another decade, and python)</p>
