Indeed no scary memory stuff to worry about, but I think these bugs nicely show how panics (and logic issues in general, but no others were found) can still be a problem depending on the threat model.</p>
<p>In 2016, Facebook and Cambridge Analytica interfered in Philippine electoral campaigns in support of Duterte. The same year that Donald Trump was elected President in the US. It marked the beginning of social media's inference of disinformation in global elections.</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@neuronakaya" class="u-url mention">@<span>neuronakaya</span></a></span> it depresses me that apparently too many people don't see it or don't care.</p><p>I didn't start then, like you said, but especially since the elections in the US I'm still a bit shocked how bare-faced Trump & Musk give in to their imperialist and fascist dreams and even more so how a big part of the US public just sucks up to them.</p><p>In Europe we're not going that crazy (yet), but generally we're following the example the US sets... we're not ready to care for our own...</p>
