@gamingonlinux I'm always happy when there's a new version of Wine, DXVK or Proton.
And I still find it funny that the best way to boost performance of GTA IV on Windows is to use DXVK

I shan't complain too much, though, because he graces us with this incredible sentence just a moment later, on the subject of rabies:

"Although all highly developed animals are equally responsive to its gothic embrace, the virus has its favoured circle of hosts."

TIL the word "deglutition", meaning the act of swallowing. A comparatively common term in the 1800s, it fell into antiquity during the early 1900s and is quite an oddity for a book written in the mid-to-late-40s, especially given that the author was born in 1910. Perhaps the trope of affordable reference books tending to have a certain vintage, much to the chagrin of many students, is one that has persisted for over a century, leading Roueché to perceive it as being current vocabulary.

I'm glad that there is a bridge to the fediver, but it seems to me that the problem is "in the DNA" — the very approach to content. People expect the intimacy of Fedivers — but they get another business project. This generates aggression and a feeling of betrayal. Finally, I was able to understand the author's point of view exactly. And one more thing — there are games for Linux not only for Steam Deck. Goodbye, my friend! I won't be sad! You are really cool! But they don't do that...
