Last week I got Claude to write a small SPA application for a personal use case that I've been wanting for ~2 years. The iteration was frustrating (like talking to a toddler), but definitely more time efficient than learning frontend, produced a working result, and looks better than I would have made.

Any time I've asked an LLM to program anything more niche, though, it has gone straight into hallucinations.

Wow. TIL about Dual Mixer Time Difference phase comparison. The idea blew my mind.

To measure phase between 10 MHz signals, you mix them with a slightly lower frequency. This produces a beat note, which can be low pass filtered. The two downconverted signals will have the same PHASE difference as the input signals.

However, this phase difference on the beat frequency is a much longer DELAY with is very easy to measure. You can get sub-picosecond measurements of the 10 MHz phase difference.

!!

Was about to listen to the recent interview Zelenskyy gave to Lex Fridman.

Fridman, from the get-go: "People like Donald Trump and Elon Musk *really care* about fighting corruption…"

Me: Okay, I think I heard everything I needed from this interview, bye.

The UK is now making grooming gangs a national concern. They are bringing up old issues.

Wait for Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia (a Muslim country and a member of BRICS), to drop the bombshell on human trafficking of young girls perpetrated by British and other European sexpats and groomers. It will be all over the web.
