Sounds like I should.

I was going to say, maybe my *favorite* thing in all of Rome is the Temple of Hadrian. I remember the first time I saw it — we were just walking past, and I said to my wife, "wait, that can't *possibly* be modern" — and then had to look up with it was. In Rome it doesn't even count as a 10th-tier attraction, so you literally stumble upon it. (Unless you go looking for it like I did today…)

But then ended up having nice blue skies while I was in there and then strong storm clouds after I left…

The result of
that parsing is a list structure that establishes a standard representation for uninterpreted abstract syntax
trees.
This representation provides a convenient basis for macro processing, which allows the programmer to
specify that some simple piece of abstract syntax should be replaced by some other, more complex piece of
abstract syntax. As is well-known, this yields an abstraction mechanism that does things that procedural
abstraction cannot, such as introducing new binding structures.
The existence of that standard representation for uninterpreted abstract syntax trees soon led Lisp to a
greater reliance upon macros than was common in other high-level languages."

- William D.
Today I again stumbled upon this beautiful explanation of what Free licenses and Free culture means, by Mark Pilgrim. I think it's still very pertinent, and this is what formed my own opinions some years ago.

https://web.archive.org/web/20091102023737/http://diveintomark.org/archives/2009/10/19/the-point

A choice quote:

> If “others profiting from my work” is something you seek to avoid, then Free Software is not for you.
