Though going by the article about Germany that another reply posted, maybe there are actually two distinct things going on:</p><p>- farmers from Punjab working in dairy, and<br />- delivery workers staffed via agencies that get workers from Pakistan/India/Bangladesh.</p><p>I imagine the mechanisms by which Punjabi and Bangla people reach Italy are different, so the government report and the Wikipedia article may both actually be missing what you observed on the ground…</p>
