That is, you can implement something that seems like it is fully correct according to the book (implementing even closures and scopes correctly), but it is still not correct.

Saying more would require more space. Though, I'd be curious, based on your intuition, what you think this oversight might be.

@whitequark when evaling BSP's, my minimum bar was to be able to just run 'Hello, World' using an example project. Eliminated over half of the candidates right out of the gate, and a huge time saver in the long run!

@whitequark hey, it's not XML in Tcl! *resigned giggles*

@whitequark I just had to decipher an API at work for which documentation is super sparse and it took me a bit to realize they intended me to serialize JSON into a string inserted as the value for a JSON key "data".

It didn't work when I sent straight JSON, I thought it had just been printed weird for the docs, it had to be double-enveloped to work.

@whitequark I once wrote a very short python script to interact with Eclipse P2 update sites for the specific purpose of fetching some resources a vendor *only* published with their Eclipse-based SDK. I could just Not be bothered to use eclipse tooling.

@whitequark and I thought ascii 1s and 0s full of logic analyzer waveform data inside a CDATA block returned by a VBScript command tunneled over SCPI was bad

this sdk is absolutely vile by the way. top 3 worst vendor abominations i've ever touched
