<p>Just got word from the doc that her white blood cell count looks good and they&#39;ll be weening her off her pain meds(fentanyl). If all goes well, she should be discharged in about 4 hours.</p><p>Strangely enough, I&#39;m having flashbacks to 28 years ago when I was shuttling between work and Seattle Childrens Hospital for a week when my daughter was in for congested lymph nodes. Thought it was the end of the world at the time.</p><p>Emotions and memory are funny things.</p>

<p>Rough night last night.</p><p>Had to take our cat, Anu, to the emergency kitty clinic. She needed surgery for an infection. We ended up spending all night there. </p><p>Pretty traumatizing all around and this is going to gut our savings. Walking over to the clinic in a bit to keep her company and, hopefully, take her home in a few hours.</p>
