<p>I kind of hope that with Rust in Linux moving forward that it might lead to more direct C interop down the line. It would make things a lot easier if you didn&#39;t have to generate/write and maintain bindings.</p>

<p>Ever since big tech bent their knees to America&#39;s new regime, I&#39;ve started to move away from proprietary software and hardware, which includes switching from macOS+Capture One to Linux+<a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/darktable" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>darktable</span></a>. </p><p>There were several times when I was like &quot;f*ck it, what am I doing here?!&quot; while trying to get around some of darktable&#39;s, ah, shall we say, idiosyncrasies.</p><p>But I keep on biting my way through, and I have to admit, I&#39;m more proud of the results than I would have been in my old <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/photography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>photography</span></a> workflow.</p>
