why does germany have a separate chancellor and president wouldn’t it be more practical to unify the functions of head of state and government into one unit? did you guys try it out and it simply didn’t work out??

What I’m hearing is:</p><p>- Most of you have found your home on the fedi so why would you move (great point!)</p><p>- A niche would be better than just a general server</p><p>- In principle it’s a good idea, but there’s problems with the idea (see above)</p>

I guess that any form of social group is &quot;doomed&quot; if it is successful.</p><p>In the past, small forums were great for creating a sense of community, but they are all gone or too big to make any kind of bond.</p><p>I am not sure how to fix it, or if there is even something to fix.</p>
