<p>you can&#39;t actually produce a take with enough dynamic range on a standard 44.1kHz hosted mastodon install</p>

<p>the best thing about fedi is that so many clients (friendica, pleroma, etc) don&#39;t accept-encoding: gzip. not to mention zstd or anything else. gives a much warmer download with more depth than huffman tables can provide</p>
