Here in downtown Toronto, we have always had large numbers of newcomers, from all over, mostly new to english. But that&#39;s IRL. I guess online people might expect it to be tech or cultural?</p>

<p>there is some sheer irony in me writing this and not realizing that &quot;ESL&quot; is an uncommonly understood acronym</p>
