<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://functional.cafe/@loke" class="u-url mention">@<span>loke</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://idiomdrottning.org/users/Sandra" class="u-url mention">@<span>Sandra</span></a></span> I started our using dark background for things on CRTs where it was less of an issue because of mainly lower resolution I suspect.</p><p>Then I had a few years always looking for the brightest LCD/LED monitors before realising I only had to do that because of the dark themes and switching.</p><p>Now that Gnome has pretty good light/dark mode toggling, I do sometimes switch to dark if the ambient light is low enough to make a white screen uncomfortable, but otherwise stick to light mode.</p>
