@dushman@den.raccoon.quest I wish it would be just GTK, a lot of libs maintained by gnome are used in server space. (libxml2 for example)

@dushman@den.raccoon.quest If you mean the desktop, it's other people's problems if they use it. Gnome the project still has a bunch of issues, but they're also responsible for a lot of libraries that are about as "Giant and Nasty but Unavoidable" as GNU if not worse.
