<p>my best thing against tasks I procrastinate: "eat the frog first" - the thing which is the hardest for me, individually (not by priority - just for me, personally) and I sometimes have to really prepare for it setting my desk (mise en place!) and sort my pens by color and have nothing to distract me (chores) and even hibernate my thinkpad with vim open at the right position of the code or with libre office open for the letter to the landlord to open it the next day RIGHT THERE AND THEN START NOW</p>

<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@pilif" class="u-url mention">@<span>pilif</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://narrativ.es/@janl" class="u-url mention">@<span>janl</span></a></span> I've had some success combatting this phenomenon with applied logic & time calculations to "prove" to myself the silliness of the whole until I've mindfucked myself into doing "it", applying "eat the frog first" (works best) and "batching" (that sort of tasks). the weirdest effect of it all: an utterly unreasonable sense of victory/triumph leading to - I kid you not - to rewarding myself with CLEANING (it's one of my procrastination methods so some reverse mindfuck salto backflip?)</p>
