<p>Saturday’s second book was Once on the Blue Moon by Kristine Kathryn Rusch. </p><p>A fun story of a genius 11-year-old who has to save a ship full of passengers after pirates board and lock everyone up. </p><p><a href="https://app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/c9813c19-60c0-40b8-b67b-d8b3e2427f86?redirect=true" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/</span><span class="invisible">c9813c19-60c0-40b8-b67b-d8b3e2427f86?redirect=true</span></a></p><p><a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/scifi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>scifi</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/bookstodon" class="u-url mention">@<span>bookstodon</span></a></span></p>

<p>Saturday’s first book was The Truths We Hold by Kamala Harris.</p><p>Interestingly, the politics espoused in this book are so much more progressive than anything we saw in her campaign. </p><p>Very short review: <a href="https://app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/a53b3029-41be-4621-9b56-e99d75f81a70" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/</span><span class="invisible">a53b3029-41be-4621-9b56-e99d75f81a70</span></a></p><p><a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/nonfiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>nonfiction</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/bookstodon" class="u-url mention">@<span>bookstodon</span></a></span></p>

<p>We&#39;re happy to announce the availability of yet another FPC adapter cable for the MFF2 solder-type SIM / eUICC form-factor. This is useful in R&amp;D and testing of IoT devices. <a href="https://shop.sysmocom.de/MFF2-footprint-in-circuit-solder-FPC-cable/MFF2-in-circ-fpc" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">shop.sysmocom.de/MFF2-footprin</span><span class="invisible">t-in-circuit-solder-FPC-cable/MFF2-in-circ-fpc</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/sim" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sim</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/euicc" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>euicc</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/esim" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>esim</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gsm" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gsm</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/oshw" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>oshw</span></a></p>

<p>I&#39;m guessing most people have forgotten or never knew that HL Mencken drew up a mock &quot;revised constitution&quot; that berated the power of an over-powerful monarchical president. It&#39;s worth reading right now. (But also worth remembering: it was written about FDR.)</p><p><a href="https://tenthamendmentcenter.com/2009/10/28/a-new-deal-constitution/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">tenthamendmentcenter.com/2009/</span><span class="invisible">10/28/a-new-deal-constitution/</span></a></p>
<p>This didn&#39;t much affect parts of Europe I usually go to, but it&#39;s striking in Italy how much tourist stock is apartments. It&#39;s almost hard to find a hotel! I don&#39;t mean Venice/Rome/Florence, but even 2nd/3rd-tier cities. Starting to *viscerally* see where the protests come from.</p>
