<p>the "my laptop is suddenly slow for seemingly no reason" issue really screws with me because whenever it happens i go "hmm... it's a laptop SKU... maybe it just _is_ slow and i'm expecting a desktop-like performance? is my memory that flawed??" and then it turns out that no my memory is fine and some part of this house of cards is broken in an obscure manner. gah</p>
