I once was asked, because I read so much, if I were an intellectual. I had to say no because I neither follow nor espouse any political ideology. "Religions" are political ideologies, and I have no use for any of them at all. I am greatly in favor of direct democracy aka anarchy which, despite many arguments to the contrary, is not an ideology. It is just people getting together to figure out what problems are and how to deal with them. It's done by consensus, not competition. There are no pre-experiential schemes here, thus, no ideologies. That's what we should be doing.</p>

There is a ton of literature on this topic now, and it's clear different students feel very differently. It doesn't erase your personal experience or preference, but do know there are many who don't feel the same.</p><p>"norm" is a formal word, "normal" is a colloquial word with many connotations.</p>
