So, I checked the references of the Wikipedia article "link rot", and I decided to click on the first URL to a paper that I saw in the references.

Needless to say, the link did not lead me to a paper:

@gamingonlinux I'm a bit dissapointed. It's not much better than just copying your files, since you still need to find the saves and make profiles.
Also there's no implementation for something like webdav to save in your own cloud.
And it should store it's own config in the same folder since it claims to be portable, but it saves it in the standard ~/.local/share/SaveState/, so it's not really portable...

International institutions, our governments are failing us. Media, our companies are all failing us. Or “failing us” is a diplomatic way of saying that our system seems to be designed in a way that is built upon exploitation and oppression of people. And so, there’s no one to turn to. There’s no one we can turn to to rescue the situation, but it falls on us to step up, to continue flooding the streets, to continue organizing, boycotting, to speak up on all platforms to try to send a clear message that we will not stand for what is happening right now.

Hadn't really thought about it before, but Langdon Winner's "Do Artifacts Have Politics?" is a clear counterexample to Betteridge's Law.

@gamingonlinux just a note, save data trasfer from the demo to the full game isn't functional on linux. You need to manually copy the proper files from the proton prefixes
