@cell@pl.ebin.zone yeah a lot of it actually happened during the or preceeding the pakistan movement the variety of 'urdu/hindi/khariboli' especially under most regional authors (and even under mughals like Rahim) was more like hindi and had a lot of sanskrit derived or sanskrit words than even spoken hindi today (which is fair because the same language was called urdu, hindi-urdu is more just one name being associated with muslim prestige and written in nastaliq and one in devanagari).
The independance movement also had a lot of persianized influence, and was heavily urdu
The pakistan movement and a reaction to the hindi movement (having hindi-urdu have more sanskritic vocabulary) led to a far more persianized language
Tbh the cultural differences that arose with muslims associating with a much more persian culture and probably made the hindu muslim conflict worse and tbh it's sad because in places like pakistan indian culture is almost dead as most hindus left the region
figures like panini who was completely responsible for classical sanskrit and a formalization of linguistics unmatched for a thousand years are completely disregarded and so are tales like the ramayana, (and some figures are slandered due to animosity with india where they are revered)
meanwhile urdu-mughal culture still has significant relevance in india and this kinda makes me annoyed.
@cell@pl.ebin.zone @meeper@udongein.xyz >any form of it nowadays approaches what was actually practiced right around jesus’s time
"yes, it's us" t. both orthodox and catholics
do note though that there was no christian church in jesus's time, it all came after him

If X translates A into B, then X must somehow generate B.
