<p>Stardew Valley modding on Linux / Steam Deck takes a step with the Nexus Mods app <a href="https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2025/03/stardew-valley-modding-on-linux-steam-deck-takes-a-step-with-the-nexus-mods-app/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">gamingonlinux.com/2025/03/star</span><span class="invisible">dew-valley-modding-on-linux-steam-deck-takes-a-step-with-the-nexus-mods-app/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/StardewValley" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>StardewValley</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/NexusMods" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NexusMods</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Modding" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Modding</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/SteamDeck" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SteamDeck</span></a></p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> "playable" is a word that aways sparks caution in me. It's loaded word in this context, and implies numerous problems or short-comings</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> omg jetpack!!! 🤩</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> I still don't understand why Valve doesn't have a 'Partially Playable' rating for stuff like this.</p><p>the gulf between "doesn't work at all" (<em>implied</em> by 'Unsupported') and "all modes of the game work" is vast.</p><p>that and their <a href="https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/compat" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs</a> don't actually specify 'fully functional' for Playable (it's implied by the definition of Verified and their examples of 'Playable' issues), tbf, which would lead to this kind of inconsistency from interpretation.</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> i agree they should say 1/2 type of playable</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> <a href="https://troet.cafe/tags/reddit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>reddit</span></a> is good for porn and nothing else. The company (!) gives a shit about what people are posting or commenting. Therefore Reddit is like X: an ugly place to be ...</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> i think you can sort all of humanity in those 2 categories.</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@Distante" class="u-url mention">@<span>Distante</span></a></span> oh shutup</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> No one in the thread appears to have read the Valve docs, trying to reason with them is a waste of effort.</p>
