As a programming project, however, people find it to be much more of challenge than they were expecting.</p><p>(this based on my repeated observations teaching it in a course).</p>

<p>i talk a lot about how rust is kind of fucked but at least it's nowhere as fucked as c++ is (organizationally, not talking about the technical side here)</p>
