<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@whitequark" class="u-url mention">@<span>whitequark</span></a></span> apparently most of these are for stuff like micro switches and IR beam interlocks, they just threw a ton of ferrites on everything. my guess is they failed EMC due to ground bounce radiating from every cable, so they threw a ton of ferrites on until it scraped through testing.</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://chaos.social/@gsuberland" class="u-url mention">@<span>gsuberland</span></a></span> i don&#39;t know what it&#39;s for so it doesn&#39;t quite stand out that badly at me; it could be two completely unrelated circuits for all i know</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@whitequark" class="u-url mention">@<span>whitequark</span></a></span> the separate ferrite beads on the individual wires is, uh, a choice</p>
<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://chaos.social/@gsuberland" class="u-url mention">@<span>gsuberland</span></a></span> every time i look at it, it becomes funnier</p>
